Meeting Minutes- July 27,2020

  • Call to order at 7:00pm
  • Attendance verified: Jaclyn and Jason Meng, Kim and Tracy Stringfellow, Judy Duke, Tonia Boyette, Kristi Miller, Chrissi Kirkland, Keith McClure, Rusty Blanton, Brian Daino, Craig Die.
  • Previous meetings’ minutes- on the website
  • Treasurer’s report:   Checking: $8,609.60        Savings- $4,599.48
    • Income-N/A
    • Expenditures- scholarship to $250 to Matthew Myers for web development/maintenance
    • PayPal- set up complete on website.
  • Old Business
    • Merchandise- Cruz has online store set up with merchandise.  Sign On is working on an online store also with merchandise, which will be tied to our website.  Merchandise from Electra is also coming along.  Waiting to hear back on gaiters so we can start selling soon.
    • Fundraising for the 2020 season
    • Corn Hole- Will table for Fall.
    • Clay Shoot- Date is set for April 10 in spring. 
    • Kick a Field Goal and win a truck- Voted to pay additional insurance fee to remove clause restricting participation for those who were a high school player within last 5 years ($1276).  Tickets will $25 each.  Voted to move forward pending district approval.
    • Sign and Drive- 3 dates were given to Jeff (Sept. 5 and 12 or Oct. 24). Still waiting to see which will work.  Preferably a Saturday after a home game and promote during the game the night before also. 
    • Dog Squad- table for now.
    • Military honor wall update- TV was purchased. Email is set up specific for this project, Bulldoghonorwall@gmail.com.  Anyone that participated in Friday night football to include players, cheer, babes, band, ROTC, will be eligible. Jaclyn has built a google slide template to put info in as it becomes available.
    • Sponsors-
      • Banner replacements-Ranette will check on them to re-order any current sponsor banners that are in poor shape.
      • Golf donations-all donors have been contacted regarding the cancellation of the golf tournament this year to offer refund of their donation.  So far, 2 have responded and donated their funds to the booster club.
      • Scoreboard sponsors- 2 spots remain open.  Ranette will check on possible sponsors.
      • Programs-We have 300 programs planned for print to divide between 4 games.  No band pictures will be available for program because they are not doing pictures.  Other organizations are still pending about pictures.
  • New business
    • Meet the Dog Night- on hold for now.  There has been a discussion about a possible parade.  Date discussed was Aug. 21.
  • Open Discussion-
    • There will be no Bleacher Creatures this year.
    • Team breakfast-will work on locations to hold off campus. Sign up Genius will be set up for food donations. 
  • Coach’s report (Coach Meng)
    • Fall camp will begin Monday Aug. 3 @ 6:30am
    • There will be no scrimmage against Graham
    • Games will be played.  Stadium can hold @ 4000 people, so would be limited to @ 2000 people. How tickets will be distributed has yet to be determined.  4 tickets per family.  No band, Babes or cheer will travel to out of town games.  Many questions remain unanswered.
    • Saturday Aug. 8 at 0800- Football pictures.  There will be an inner-squad scrimmage along with the Hour-a-Thon fundraiser.  There will be no Popsicle Bowl.
  • Next booster club meeting- Monday, July 27th at 7:00pm at the field house.
