Meeting Minutes- September 28, 2020

  1. Call to order-7:00pm
  2. Attendance-Tracy/Kim Stringfellow, Jason/Jaclyn Meng, Tonia Boyett, Kristi Miller, Judy Duke, Allison Bainbridge, Shirley Vogel, Rusty Blanton
  3. Previous meetings’ minutes- on the website
  4. Treasurer’s report:   Checking: $13,832.04         Savings- $4,599.48
    1. Income- $307.50 in credit card sales, $305 in cash sales for trailer and programs.  Also received a $1000 check from Pruitt Ford for sponsorship.
    2. Expenditures- Sign On for merchandise- $4015.00
    3. Petty Cash- $125
    4. Cash- $150
    5. Gift Card- $106
    6. PayPal- cleared
  5. Old Business
    1. Merchandise-
      1. 2 signs to be picked up from Sign-On (yard sign and spirit flags).
      2. Sign-On has not charged us for hats until we determine if we want to sell in trailer or leave with Keith to sell in store. 
    2. Fundraising for the 2020 season-
      1. Clay Shoot- tabled until spring. Date is set for April 10th in spring. 
      2. Kick a Field Goal and win a truck- Took the $150 loss for cancelling the contract due to low ticket sales along with @ $100 in ticket printing fees.  We have received the rest of the money back with a letter clearing us from contract.  Hopefully things will go better next year.
      3. Sign and Drive- 3 dates were given to Jeff (Sept. 5 and 12 or Oct. 24).  Jeff is waiting to hear back from Ford. 
    3. Military honor wall update- hoping to have template by the 1st or 2nd week of October.
    4. Sponsors- Whataburger, Oh-Whata-Night will be on October 13.  Flyer will be posted closer to the date and will be online or drive thru sales only. They are also catering team breakfast this Friday morning along with snack bags for team and trainers.
    5. Programs- none
    6. Volunteer review-
      1. Team breakfast- Whataburger along with a few extra items.
      2. Game day- need volunteers
      3. Coaches lunch- Kim Stringfellow/Jaclyn Meng
    7. Spike deflator- deflator worked great.  It helps make Spike more compact when it is rolled up.
    8. Sound System- Do not need it at the game this week.
    9. Golf Cart maintenance- tabled.

  8. Coach Meng’s report
    1. Watched offensive and defensive clips from HUDL of JV game against Vernon.
    2. Watched clips from HUDL of Decatur’s offensive and defensive plays that we may see in game.
    3. Tickets will be available online through Burkburnett. 
    4. Last week’ games:
      1. 7th grade lost to IP; 8th grade won against IP
      2. Freshman won and JV lost against Vernon
      3. Varsity beat Vernon 28-22
    5. This week’s games:
      1. 7th/8th grade vs. McNeil at 5pm/6:60pm in Burk
      2. Freshman and JV are away at Decatur at 5pm/6:45pm.
      3. Varsity is home vs. Decatur Friday at 7pm.
    6. Players of the Week:

      2. Defensive Line:  Bladen Biner- Dog of the Week
      3. Specials Team Player- Mason Duke
  9. Next booster club meeting- Monday, Oct. 5 at 7:00pm in High school Cafeteria.
